During the two symbolic weeks when the magnolia tree outside his bedroom window is in glorious bloom, “the man who resembles me,” aged 74, questions his life, before and after death, confronting his doubts and certainties. Between a medical appointment and choosing an urn from a catalogue, between a first love and a walk in the forest with his seven-year-old grandson, he speaks, weaves poetry and sings of his search for something greater than himself. Text, songs and performance: Michel Rivard. Musicians: François Richard, Blanche Baillargeon and Guillaume Bourque. Direction: Marie-Thérèse Fortin. Production: La maison fauve. Created in collaboration with CTD’A.
