Jean Poiret’s classic French comedy comes to life in an all-Quebec adaptation by Sylvain Larocque and Joël Legendre, directed by Legendre. Set in the heart of Montreal’s Gay Village, the play follows a gay couple whose lives are turned upside down when their son announces he is marrying the daughter of a conservative politician. Marcel Leboeuf and Alex Perron play Georges and Albin, the owners of the cabaret “La Cage aux folles.” The 12-performer cast includes Rainbow, Michel Dorion, Tracy Trash and Nana, who welcome audiences into their eccentric, burlesque world from the moment they enter the theatre. Expect laughter, satire and outrageous antics! Audience members are invited to arrive 15 minutes before the show to enjoy the cabaret experience. Running time: 1 hour 45 minutes, including intermission.
