Montreal band Atsuko Chiba delivers “angular and powerful rock” (BrooklynVegan), blurring the boundaries between progressive rock, post-rock and krautrock. The quintet weaves a hypnotic, subversive sonic tapestry through unconventional yet precise songwriting. On stage, the five musicians combine experimental rock with projections and lighting they manipulate live, creating an immersive, multisensory environment. The band has shared the stage with acts including ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Big Business and Duchess Says, and performed at Portals Festival, SXSW and M for Montreal. Their self-titled album, announced for April 24, 2026 on Mothland, introduces elements of trip-hop, chamber pop and ambient music into their psychedelic sound.
