Hommes de pioche is a powerful storytelling show celebrating its 20th anniversary! Born from authentic stories from Abitibi, it has captivated audiences around the world, with more than 100 performances in Russia, Armenia, Congo, Cuba, France, Switzerland and Canada. At the heart of the story are a mysterious vial of gold dated May 20, 1952, the Grand Zaphat, and the voices of the miners he saved on the day the swamp swallowed the mine. Renée Robitaille’s vivid storytelling brings this stirring journey through the miners’ memories to life. A storytelling performance for audiences aged 12 and up, presented in partnership with Circuit Paroles Vivantes.
